Federated Garden Clubs of New York State - District IV

The Federated Garden Clubs of New York State ,Inc was founded in 1924 and incorporated in 1930 f0r the purpose of supporting the garden clubs of New Yor State in their efforts of beautification , preservation and conservation. There are currently 170 clubs in NYS with 6000 members. District IV, which encompasses northeastern New Yorkhas six member clubs. Membership in any of the Federated Garden Clubs of New York State offers garden enthusiaststhe opportunity and privilege of participating with others who share thie interests and vision for improving the environment and advancing the arts of gardening, flower arranging and landscaping.

Our Purpose

  • To assist member clubs in working together;

  • To serve as an educational resource for member clubs;

  • To encourage the art of gardening, horticulture, landscape design, and flower arranging;

  • To encourage civic planting, beautification, and preservation of scenic and historic locations;

  • To encourage public interest in environmental concerns and conserving the natural beauty and resources of New York State, the nation, and the world.
